Using Our Own Electricity for Printing!

Since May 2020, our machines have been running on electricity generated on our own roof.
After installing the 366 kWp-photovoltaics system we have been producing practically zero-emission electricity, some 85% of which we use ourselves. We cover almost 25% of our electricity needs in this way. The remainder is supplied from 100% regenerative sources – and has been since 2014 already.
In June 2020 we produced 46,700 kwh ourselves, 16,300 kwh of which were fed into the mains network; the remainder was used by our own manufacturing. That month, the 100% green electricity we had to purchase in addition amounted to 59,500 kwh.
